What a tool 🙄

Sep 04, 2025

Then it hit us… we should start a podcast.

Call it Lawyers Yell At Leases.

Couple bourbons.

Fresh red pens.

Us shredding leases like a teacher who just found out you copied your book report off Facebook.

And the material writes itself.

Last week, we saw a lease — DIY job, smelled like cat pee.

Right in the middle, the guy had typed:

“Tenant waives eviction notices.”

Bold move.

One problem: you can’t.

Tenants can't 'waive' their right to eviction notices.

Not in bold. Not in blood. Not even with 12 initials and a wax seal.

We asked where he got the idea.

He said Facebook.

Some “landly” swore it was legal.

Here’s the truth: it’s not.

If your tenant breaks the lease, you gotta serve the right notice.

No shortcut. No hack. No Facebook clause saves you.
