A 5-gallon bucket full of regret

Jun 12, 2025

This Spring, one of our landlords got cute.

Tenant skipped rent.

So he shut off the water.

Figure: no pay, not shower.

And since the water bill was in his name?

Why not?

Two days later, the tenant peed in a 5-gallon bucket...

And dumped it out of the second-story window.

Right above the landlord's porch swing.

Some folks just weren't raised right.

Look, we get it.

But the court doesn't.

You can't turn off water just because rent's unpaid.

Doesn't matter if the bill's in your name.

Doesn't matter if they're a deadbeat.

Doesn't matter if you warned them.

Kill the water while they still live there...

And that bucket will be the least of your worries.
